Economic Development Council for Island County (EDCIC)

The EDCIC is the Associate Development Organization (ADO) which serves as the local economic development partner for the Washington Department of Commerce.  The EDCIC is designated by Island County to coordinate business recruitment, retention and expansion activities within the county.  It supports research, planning, and implementation of regional and local economic development strategies.

Representing broad interests of the community, we work to diversify and strengthen the local economy, preserve and progress the quality of life of islanders, and stabilize the economic interests of Whidbey and Camano Islands.


The EDCIC is helping to bring the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to Whidbey Island twice per month to meet with business owners one-on-one and provide FREE business advice, resources and research. Contact us to make an appointment.
